Lizzie Borden
Lizzie fucking died because she wasn't willing to put up with Anne's BS.
Lizzie laughed, "I'm afraid we don't have time for that, stranger. Creating a contract with complex terms that both parties agree to generally takes hours." She looked on as her legs slowly became translucent. "There might be a way for adding terms to a contract after it's made, but I personally know of none."
Kael Sebastian
"It is, Father. Although Barrows wishes to change the schedule for my earth elemental studies so I begin to learn the higher level spells sooner," Kael answered. "Am I to participate in this... ah... informal war?"

"Kid... where a lot of the others see a war, I see an opportunity. Lick your finger and hold it to the wind. That's where we're going. Now's high time to find one of these spirits and join the fight."

I'm not like them. I'm doing this for entirely different reasons. I won't be like them.
"Alright, fine. I'll form a contract with you, however, I actually don't know the exact ritual to perform in this situation."

Lizzie Borden
Lizzie allowed her head to loll to the side a bit as she appraised the strange mage once more. She is not a woman... but a child. "Come here, girl, and place your hand on my chest. The words you must say are 'of two hearts, one circuit-- of two souls, one purpose'. Hurry now, for I will soon vanish."
Hera Gregg
Hera and Morgiana walked side by side down the streets of London, slowly making their way back to the hotel where Hera and Kirin had been staying. Hera had now replaced her toga and sandals with some jeans, a flannel shirt, a pair of old work boots, and a giant sweatshirt with the word "London" printed across the front; while Morgiana had replaced her bikini with a white dress shirt, a sweater vest, a smart-looking jacket, some skinny jeans, and a pair of nice brown boots. Honestly, together they looked like a beautiful heiress and her homeless friend searching for a shelter where said homeless friend could spend the night.
Hera snickered at the remembrance of Betty's reaction when the two walked towards the counter wearing their new clothes. As Hera was placing the toga, sandals, and all the ornaments that had come with them on the counter; Betty had stated quite plainly that Hera looked like a bum while Morgiana looked like a successful businesswoman. Her reaction to finding out the Hera was giving Morgiana a place to stay was even better though. Now that I think about it... I do need a few questions answered before we get to the hotel.
"This may sound like a weird question," Hera began, "but what can you tell me Dante?"

She repeated the incantation, "Of two hearts, one circuit-- of two souls, one purpose." I am definitely going to regret this later.
"Seems to have worked." She announced while sending a message on her phone: "Situation dealt with. The berserker won't be an issue. How's the situation in London?"

Morgiana
"He was a master in one of the sanctum wars before he was ever a servant. I would know-- I had to fight him. Even though he ascended to Sanctum when he died, he's never been summoned as a servant until now. When he was alive, Dante was cast out of the association when he was still a teenager. According to the master that summoned me at the time, he was considered by them to be too dangerous. He was a ridiculously powerful mage, but he wasn't the kind to follow orders. Naturally, he summoned a pretty powerful servant. A Lancer... Goliath. I had to fight him a number of times over the course of the war, and our final encounter didn't end well for me. That servant wasn't just a killing machine. He had a vendetta. But I never figured out what exactly it was. But it must've been something Dante had capitalized on, because the two of them were an unstoppable force. Even when some of our competitors brought armies of mages and mercenaries into battle, the two of them ended up on top. Dante seized the key, and then... nothing. He vanished from history. Later on, three books were published and credited to his name, the Divine Comedy, but they don't tell the full story, as far as I've heard. Only he and Ruler know the truth."

"Hmm...that's interesting... Do you have any idea why exactly he would send a Berserker to the MA headquarters here? I feel like this isn't just him throwing a hissy fit because he got kicked out as a kid."
More importantly, should I be worried about him going after Kirin?

Morgiana
"He definitely wanted to catch the association off guard. I figure he thought that the most effective way of demonstrating what he's done is letting Ajax loose in a densely populated area. What scares me is that he doesn't know the meaning of fear or hesitation. He just does things. That means he's not afraid of letting thousands of innocent people die to further his goals. And yet... when I asked him about that in Sanctum, he seemed as though he wasn't indifferent to the well-being of others. Rather, he... he seemed fully convinced that none of it matters, in the end. As if the horrors he's inflicting will somehow be erased. I never understood what he meant... but it's ominous, no doubt."

"Yeah..." Hera replied with concern. "If you don't mind, I may need you to repeat all this information for my fiancé. He's better at figuring out how to deal with this kinda stuff."

Kirin
"Hera..." he pressed his palm to his face. The hotel room was empty when he had returned.
"Hmm?" Max raised an eyebrow and casually examined their suite. "What's wrong, lad?"
"I suppose I had this coming. I snuck out at night, lured in by Zamiel's tavern, and Hera had a similar idea. I'd better get to bed before she gets back.
"And me?" Max asked, an eyebrow raised. "Are we gonna... you know, debrief her?"
"I'll provide you mana, Archer, but when Hera is around I'll need you to disappear."
"She seems to have grown into quite the mage. I think she could come in handy-"
"This isn't her fight. She's already got enough to worry about. How's your eyesight?"
"Better than a mortal's, that's for sure."
"Good. You'll stay at least a block away from us at all time, until she's asleep or we're separated. We will hunt down the freeshooters in secret. But your duty by day is to watch over and protect Hera. Whatever you do, however..."
"...Don't let her know I'm there."
"Precisely."
"Simple enough." As Kirin removed his clothes and collapsed into the bed, Max assumed his wraith form and melted into the shadows. He was soon on a distant rooftop, patiently waiting.

Cody
Morning. His drones had been at work all night, but the broken remains of the top of his tower had still not been fully cleared up from the streets of Reverie. He awoke in front of his desk, on one of the lower floors-- where there was no damage, but the power was still out.
"Good morning, Mister Lazarus," chimed Gestalt. His steel body stood at perfect posture, as if he was completely unaware of the fact that his paint was singed and one of his "eyes" was unlit. "The time is 7:30 AM. The temperature outside is 18 degrees Celsius. The temperature inside the building is 18 degrees Celsius."
"Ugh..." Cody held his head with one hand and groped the top of his desk with the other, in search of his glasses. "No kidding."
"Would you like me to turn on the heater?"
"Yeah, sure."
"My apologies. I cannot turn on the heater."
"...Thanks, Gestalt."
"The tower was cut off from its power source, the windmills north of here, during the explosion. It is very likely that the explosion in question was caused by the 'Dante' individual you were talking to shortly before."
"Wow. Good to know, Gestalt."
"A pleasure to be of service."
He rolled his eyes and stood up from his chair. Without any of his machines active, the building was eerily quiet. The drones, still hard at work outside, had already consumed their batteries and, without a grid to recharge at, were now drawing mana directly from Cody's body. It wasn't comfortable, but it would have to work for now. "Is most of the rubble clear?"
"There no longer remain, in the streets, pieces of the wreckage large enough to obstruct the streets of the cityfolk."
"Tell half the drones to start repairing the power grid. I want this place back online by noon."

Hera Gregg
Hera sighed in satisfaction as the rays of the morning sun warmed her face. This feeling of satisfaction quickly dissipated as the sun's warmth was blocked by a fresh new wave of clouds. With a slight pout Hera began to shiver once more, cursing London's almost constant cover of clouds. Oh, well. It doesn't really matter anyways.
"We're here," Hera said audibly for the sake of the girl walking beside her. They stood before a high-class hotel with fancy lights, tall towers, and a style very similar to traditional Victorian architecture. Morgiana followed her master towards the side of the building where she watched Hera whisper a few words under her breath to open a side door right by the elevators. The trip to the hotel room was quiet, mostly because neither master nor servant wished to awaken the other guests. With a few more whispered words from Hera they were inside the hotel room.
"I'm going to go check on Kirin-er, my fiancé- real quick. Feel free to make yourself comfortable," and with those words Hera left Morgiana in the room's little sitting area. The curly-haired woman quietly slunk into the bedroom and closed the door behind her, happy to see that Kirin was sleeping somewhat soundly for once. She smiled at the sight of him. It was refreshing to see him looking so at peace. She found herself sitting on the bed next to him and carefully brushing strands of his enoby ebony hair out of his face. She only paused to plant a kiss on his forehead. With her knees pulled close to her chest Hera whispered a fond greeting to the man sleeping beside her, "Good morning, my love."

Kirin
PFFFFF-
Please stop listening in on my conversations.
No promises.
... He slowly opened his eyes and grinned at her. "If only all morning were as pleasant."
